RADNOR — Judith Creed Horizons for Achieving Independence (JCHAI), an organization empowering adults with developmental disabilities and autism to live and work independently, recently received a $15,000 grant from Phillies Charities Inc.
“For the past 30 years, JCHAI has successfully taught adults with developmental disabilities and autism to become a dynamic part of their community,” said Judith Creed, founder of JCHAI. “With help from generous organizations like the Phillies Charities, we are able to continue our mission of offering the highest-quality services to have our members reach their full potential.”
JCHAI is one of several local charities and organizations who are making an impact in the Phillies’ major league and minor league communities. All of these community heroes were honored for their charitable efforts Dec. 6 at the Phillies Charities Inc. Holiday Giving Party at Citizens Bank Park.
“There are many charities in our communities doing commendable work to improve the lives of others,” said John Weber, president, Phillies Charities Inc. “Through the support of our fans, Phillies Charities is able to enhance the efforts of these charitable organizations providing vital services to individuals and families in need.”
