Social Learning Activities

Large-group outings, sporting events, theater, art, museums, and holiday parties with 45-75 members & staff. Members enjoy life, build relationships, and develop confidence and independence.

Travel Opportunities

Large-group social learning experiences allow members to really gain independence and strengthen their friendships while caregivers can experience a truly unique extended respite.

An Important Milestone in Our Shared Journey

Both organizations were both founded decades ago by local families with the simple goal to ensure their children with disabilities could live full and productive lives just like their other children.

By combining our shared expertise and rich histories, together we offer a larger collection of complementary services to more individuals with varying abilities than ever before.

Since our 2024 affiliation, our shared mission is to inspire and empower adults with developmental differences and disabilities to imagine and fulfill their life aspirations and to be valued contributors to the community.

JCHAI's History

JCHAI was founded in 1987 by a group of families determined to provide their adult children with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in their own homes, make friends, and become valued members of their community.

Over time, JCHAI innovated supported living, serving as an early model in the Commonwealth and expanded to provide additional in-home and community-based supports as well as best-in-class group programs.

For nearly 40 years, we’ve helped our members unlock their limitless potential. Today, we continue to redefine possible.

AADD's History

AADD (formerly the Young Adults Group) was founded in 1973 by a group of five local families in Montgomery County, PA who were concerned about the future of their developmentally disabled children following high school graduation.

For over 50 years, AADD has served to provide education, discussion, and social activities that empower adults with developmental disabilities to live more independent lives while also providing respite time for caregivers and helping to increase inclusion and understanding in our community.
