Advancing Access and Inclusion Through Law — JCHAI Executive Director Stacy Jarett Levitan was recently invited to participate in a Penn Carey Law Alumni Spotlight interview in which she reflected on Disability Pride Month, inclusion, and how her education continues to shape her leadership in the disability advocacy space!

Why must institutions, employers, and communities move beyond awareness and toward meaningful inclusion and accessibility?

“People with disabilities deserve to live the lives that they want—not what is imposed on them by others. And when they have self-determination, they are contributing to the fabric of our society. When everyone in our community can contribute their unique talents, our communities are richer. When we put up barriers to people having full inclusion, ultimately, we all suffer.”
